Music by the Ensemble »Text will Töne« and Memories by Contemporary Witnesses
On 7 May 1945, the German Wehrmacht surrendered unconditionally. This marked the end of the Second World War in Europe. While the vast majority of Germans saw the unconditional surrender as a defeat, for those persecuted by the National Socialist regime it meant liberation.
Together with the Regional Association of German Sinti and Roma Swabia, we would like to commemorate and celebrate this with you. With photographs and personal memories of survivors of Nazi terror, we also commemorate those for whom the liberation came too late. Literary and musical creations by the ensemble “Text will Töne” will frame the celebration.
