One museum, two locations – only 16 minutes by bike

Our permanent exhibition is housed in the synagogue complex on Halderstraße, in the Augsburg city center. Museum visitors are invited to view the impressive synagogue sanctuary, where the Jewish community holds services.

Our second location, inaugurated in 2014, is the Former Kriegshaber Synagogue. This extraordinary building stands as proof that the Jewish history of Augsburg cannot be told without the rural communities of Swabia. Today, the former synagogue is an exhibition and event space.
