Also in Augsburg and Bavarian Swabia, the Jewish population was systematically marginalized after 1933 and deprived of their rights and property. The guided tour illustrates how the increasing persecution by the National Socialist regime continued to worsen their living conditions until any hope of rescue disappeared with the beginning of the deportations.

Various documents provide an insight into the fates of deported Jewish men and women. Personal items recall the stories of people who managed to escape. A visit to the Augsburg Synagogue focuses on the local events of the November 1938 pogrom and the subsequent misuse of the building complex.
