On International Museum Day, visitors are invited to discover the great variety of museums.

You have the opportunity to visit our exhibitions at both locations with free admission. Discover the permanent exhibition at the Innenstadt location with its newly designed showcases on Jewish life circle celebrations and learn more about the synagogue, which was completed in 1917. In the former Kriegshaber synagogue you can visit the oldest preserved synagogue in Bavarian Swabia. From the early 18th to the 20th century, it was the centre of an important Jewish rural community just outside Augsburg. Currently, the travelling exhibition “Feibelmann must go. An Anti-Semitic episode in Small-Town Swabia” is on display.
