Humans are playful beings. In Jewish culture, too, people play in various ways: During religious celebrations such as Purim and Hanukkah, certain games or plays are traditionally performed. But you can »shpiln» a lot more than that: Music ranging from klezmer to punk and sports from soccer to dance to chess are all part of the cultural identity of Jewish communities.
